Hebrews 10
André Chelliah   -

When was the last time you practiced being in the quiet place? Do you remember the last time you turned your phone off, turned your work off, and sat in stillness with the Lord?

Being still is so hard for us, we live in a world where there is always something to do. We exist in a never-ending and frenetic day-to-day life, sprinting towards the next thing on our to-do list. When we do have to sit still, we reach for distractions and our minds wander.

We have equated getting stuff done to being happy. We have equated being productive with joy. Psalm 16:11 presents us with a different path joy:

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore”

This Sunday, we’ll open scripture to Hebrews 10 and see the joy of dwelling in God’s presence.
