Hebrews 13
The book of Hebrews uses wonderfully fantastic language and imagery to communicate to us that Jesus is better than the best and worst life has to offer. So, if the book of Hebrews were a fireworks display, we would expect chapter 13 to be the grand finale of language and imagery. But it is not what we expect. What we find in the last chapter of Hebrews is not flash and fanfare. We find a faithful lord, savior, and friend in Jesus, extending his hand toward us that we would walk closely with him.
Hebrews 13 tells us that the grand finale of gospel living is Christ-centered community. Being in Christ is living like Jesus – a life that freely invites others into an intimate relationship with him.
