The Book of James 2:1-13
April 26, 2026

James is a practical book, but it is not pragmatic. Without question, James wants to see the lives of those who follow Jesus begin to look more like the life of Jesus. In James chapter 2, we are called to change our individual behavior for the health of our church and the depth of our worship. So, James is not calling for willpower to affect external change, but for the transformation of our hearts by the Holy Spirit—for a new kind of life in how we think, feel, and live.
Don’t miss this Sunday as we see how the gospel leads us to live lives that give and receive mercy and prioritize justice for the sake of God’s glory and our joy.
