Love 2025
The season of Advent is the celebration of Jesus’ birth and the hope of our rebirth. This week we celebrate Advent love. The apostle Paul points us (1 Corinthians 13:13) toward Advent realities, reminding us that we are people of faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these three Christian dispositions is love because it is the only one that is eternal. After Jesus’ second Advent—when he returns to make all things new—love is the only thing we will need. Faith and hope will become irrelevant in the presence of our King and friend, Jesus Christ.
But what about right now? How does Advent love change our present lives? Join us Sunday as we look at an everyday experience of Jesus and his disciples. We will see two stories from Mark 5—both well after the manger and years before the cross. Both, however, show us the daily realities of the Christmas season that never go away.
