The Meaning of Marriage
Regardless of your marital status, you have a connection to marriage. Your life has been shaped—whether in small or significant ways—by your own marriage or the marriages around you. Throughout Scripture, marriage is consistently elevated as something created by God and deeply important to Him (Genesis 2; Revelation 21). Yet, Jesus is clear that marriage is an earthly covenant that does not carry over into eternity (Matthew 22:30).
