What is God?

This week we will return to Question #2 from The New City Catechism: "What is God?" This is the message we had planned to cover on June 14 but were unable to due to the power outage. Everyone asks this question because everyone has some concept of God. Even an atheist has a concept of God that has led them to reject his existence. The importance of discussing God’s nature is to bring our thoughts about God into alignment with what he has revealed about himself in Scripture. When our understanding of God is shaped by the Bible, we experience him more deeply, worship him rightly, and grow together—in unity with God and with one another.
