Waiting is hard. Maybe you’re in line at the DMV or sitting at what feels like the longest red light in the world. Maybe you’re impatient as you wait for the results of a medical test, or to find out if you got that job you so desperately need. Maybe you’re waiting for God to answer a prayer you’ve been praying for a long time.

Patience in the midst of waiting is something we all need, and never seem to have enough of. It’s important for us to pay attention to how we respond in the midst of waiting, especially during times of suffering. Do we get angry? Do we take it out on others around us? Or does it lead us to rely on God and His compassion for us?
