Repentance
Tim Armitage   -

Have you ever read the owner’s manual for your car? Unless you have been stuck in your car for hours with nothing to do, you probably have not! We just drive our cars however we see fit and however they serve us best. It makes sense. Everyone knows how a car works, right? But you did not make or design the car. You simply have a car.

Repentance can be like that. Most of us live life as we see fit; in a way that is comfortable and meets our desires. We rarely, if ever, stop to think that we might be living, thinking, and acting in a way totally contrary to our design and purpose.

We love cars because they move us forward and take us where we need to go. But often repentance feels like we are living in reverse, going in the wrong direction. Join us this Sunday as we see that Jesus’ command to repent is not condemnation and failure but moving forward in our design.
