The Book of James 4:13-5:6

When life goes well, we feel confident. When we are happy and healthy and there is money in the bank, we have the sense that life is under control. But not much has to change for us to question those assumptions. Unexpected expenses, job losses, or relationship failures are just a few of the curve balls common in life.
When life takes those turns, does it mean we’ve made mistakes? James has a different approach to answering these questions. When we ask, “Am I doing the right things?” James asks, “Does your heart love the right things?” The measuring stick James uses is our generosity. Regardless of the amount of money we have, we all respond to money with a heart of worship or scarcity.
Join us Sunday as we see the wisdom given in James 4:13—5:6 that leads us to a life of freedom in our generosity.
