The Gospel of John – 1/14/24
In the second chapter of John’s gospel, we find a story that is familiar to most of us at some level – Jesus changes water into wine at the wedding of two friends. This is the first recorded divine act of Jesus’ ministry and, as far as we can tell, Jesus does not even receive recognition for it in the moment. So, why would Jesus choose to perform a miracle that is seeming so inconsequential?
Don’t miss our time together this Sunday. We will see that Jesus is doing more than keeping a party going or doing a favor for his mother. Jesus is displaying to the world the miraculous grace of his redemption.
