Family Serve Day

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

September 17, 2022

Serving is a large part of the church and our individual discipleship. Jesus modeled what serving looks like. We would like to provide parents with the opportunity to also model what serving looks like for their children as you serve together at our Family Serve Day. While this is designed for families, we invite anyone to join us.

We encourage you to memorize our theme verse with your children. It can spark conversations about not only serving, but about the price Jesus paid for all of us.

Join us on September 17th from 8 AM to 12 PM. We will all meet in the auditorium at 8:00 for a brief rally before splitting up into teams. We will have three teams. See below for the descriptions. Two of the teams will travel locally in the Northland and one will stay at Briarcliff. When you REGISTER, you can pick which team your family would like to be on. As registrations come in, we will add family names to the teams so you can see who is signed up already.

Serving Teams

HILLCREST TEAM

The Hillcrest Team will travel to the Hillcrest Thrift Store in Liberty, MO. There you will be serving together to accomplish various projects within the store. Learn more about our partnership with Hillcrest on our Hillcrest Page.

YARD WORK TEAM

The Yard Work Team will travel to one or more houses in our community to help with various yard work projects. The team will likely split up into smaller groups to reach more homes. If you have tools at home, please bring them, but if not, we will have some here you can use.

CHURCH TEAM

This team will remain at the church to accomplish a couple of projects. One is to assemble shoe boxes for our upcoming Operation Christmas Child initiative. The other project is to put together gift bags for the teachers and staff at Davidson Elementary. These projects were selected with littles in mind but are available to anyone.
