Charlene

Charlene Armitage has spent most of her life in the field of education as a teacher, elementary principal, and Director of HR, all in the North Kansas City School District. Upon retirement from the school district, she supervised student teachers and also worked as Director of Equipping in a large church as she trained the staff to mobilize volunteers. Additionally, she and her husband, Vernon, have an organization called E2 – Equipping Leaders to Develop and Equip Leaders. They work with churches throughout the United States and Canada encouraging volunteers to serve based on Ephesians 4. Currently, at Briarcliff, she is the Director of Ministries as a volunteer staff member.

Charlene is a life-long learner who desires to be challenged and loves to challenge others to experience their God-given potential and serve in a way that glorifies Christ. She has a deep passion to see others grow in their walk with Christ and reflect his very nature.

Charlene has two grown children and four amazing grandsons. Her hobbies are reading, volunteering, and water skiing.
