Creation Mandate
What comes to mind when you think about God? Here is what A.W. Tozer said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. We tend by a secret law of the soul to move toward our mental image of God.” Satan knows that so very well. That was the tactic he used with Adam and Eve. “Did God really say?” In other words, you can’t trust God. He does the same today. The Bible calls Satan the father of lies. His main lie is about God. It is critical that we keep a clear focus on the God who is and not one that we create to fit our desires. This Sunday we are going to take a fresh look at God that is spelled out in Genesis 2. You will be inspired by this fresh understanding of God. It can protect you from destructive distortions that Satan will throw your way, especially during tough times when God doesn’t make sense.
