The Gospel of John – 3/03/24
Jesus took a walk with his disciples after they left the upper room where they had celebrated the Passover together. Before leaving the upper room, he gave them the heartbreaking news. He would be leaving them. It left them puzzled and stunned. Are there times you are puzzled by the silence of God? We all understand the words of the Psalmist, “O Lord, why do you stand so far away? Why do you hide when I am in trouble?” (Psalm 10:1). During the confusion of the disciples, he promised he would not leave them as orphans but would give them a Helper and peace that would defy circumstances. He makes the same promise to us. Don’t miss this Sunday as we plunge into the depths of his love, peace, and joy.
