The Gospel of John – 1/21/24
Vernon Armitage   -

In this next installment in the Gospel of God, we will unpack John 3. Between now and when we gather for worship this Sunday, read through the chapter once or twice each day. Allow the Author who inspired John to write the gospel to speak to you personally as you read. Mark words or phrases that stand out to you. Chew (meditate) on them. Ponder the familiar words, “you must be born again.” Anchor down on John 3:16. Martin Luther called it the “Bible in miniature.” Carefully consider the greatness of each word. Don’t miss the amazing statement of John the Baptist, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” This chapter is packed full of life-giving words. Get ready for a wonderful experience as we jump into the text this week. Expect more than words from a mere human voice; expect the voice of God to speak.
